Pr. Andy Yeoh, is an engaging and high-spirited youth pastor whose passion for the young generation is as fired up as his passion for Christ. He’s the lead vocalist for Altered Frequency, a home-grown band that garnered a nomination for "Best New English Artiste" in the 2005 edition of Malaysia’s premiere awards "Anugerah Industri Muzik". Currently pastoring the youth in ACTS Church, Subang Jaya, he’s constantly on the go inspiring young people to live a life of purpose and passion.

God Can!

It’s almost the middle of May! This also means we have 7 Sundays (or 7 Weeks) to “reach out to and root in” 240 teens – teens who would call Acts Church their Home. I am still convinced that 240 is POSSIBLE!

 
Some of us might say, it’ll take nothing short of a miracle to get there. I say, well, bring it on! While Jesus walked on earth, miracles were a norm. In his 3 years of ministry, Jesus did so many miracles it couldn’t possible be recorded!
 
John 21:25 – “And there are also many other things that Jesus did, which if they were written one by one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that would be written. Amen.”
 
Then, before He went to the Cross, He told His disciples:-
 
John 14:12 - "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father."
 
I believe that promise is for us as well. And, yes, I do believe in miracles! 
 
Do you believe that God can perform a miracle for Acts Teens? 
Do you believe that God can give us hundreds, & even thousands of radical Jesus-lovin’ teens?
 
If we believe that God CAN bring the 240... If we believe that God CAN save your friends... If we believe that God CAN revive your backslidden buddies... Then, I think we would also go all out to call, invite, and bring our friends. It is because we believe so much that God can, that it leads us to do something about it – something that is based on God’s Ability (God CAN), and not just ours. We will call, invite, bring – because we know that, because God CAN, every call & invitation will bring forth fruit…because God CAN!
 
2 Fridays ago (Apr 30, 2010), we saw 110 teens attend 2 unofficial “Home Parties." 
 
This Friday, we are going to have 4 official Home Parties…
 
This Friday, and in the 7 Weeks to come… may I strongly encourage YOU and YOUR TEAM/HOMIES to go all out and pray for, call, invite, bring friends. Please help me mobilize EVERYONE! I really believe that if we ACT on our belief, that God can, then God can and will do it through and for us!

Praise God for an amazing weekend! The BBQ Nites – organized due to a “Free” Friday, in order to create more opportunities to connect with more teens – turn out really well, and I am very proud of the results! If I am not mistaken, close to 110 teens came with many, many newcomers! 1 of our teens brought 14 friends, and made followed up with all of them within 24-hours and invited them back to church! Wow! That’s just super, and that just reminds me again that stuff like this is POSSIBLE!

 
I shared with my leadership team that we are in the midst of war! We are fighting for what is rightfully ours – the precious lives/souls that God has promised He will entrust to our care, the many precious young people out there who have yet to experience Jesus’ love. We are called to do this, and we are meant to grow as God’s grace is upon us to do so!
 
So I want to encourage all of us to begin to push forward in spiritual warfare and prayer. Pray from a position of victory and confidence. Claim what is rightfully ours (God’s) and boldly step out in faith to bring in the harvest! 
 
Remember, though, that we are not fighting against flesh and blood. We have a common enemy – and that is the devil. The enemy is not us! Be watchful and not fall into the enemy’s trap. The most powerful and successful weapon the enemy has used is to turn God’s people against each other! We must not allow that to happen. Let’s give each other a benefit of a doubt, and think the best of each other! Let’s be slow to anger, and quick to forgive! 
 
We need to build a strong team, in order to go forward and “possess” all that God has prepared for us. Let’s keep building ourselves and each other, so that we can face whatever may come our way. God has so much in store for us as a church. Let’s live our best lives by living it for Him and pursuing His best!!
 
Let’s live to give God our best, and the care for people the most! – that’s what Acts, and being a leader in Acts, is all about!
 
We are in the business of lives and we must be great at it! 
 
2010 is gonna be GreeaaAat!!!

2010 has started off with a bang, and I've got a feeling that this year is gonna be a real blast!

Acts Church has been called to be a "Big Church, with a Big Heart, and a Big Influence." Acts Teens - as her Teens Ministry (Movement) - has a vision and a very clear focus to reach 500 teens by December 2010. It's not just a number. Every number has a name, and every name has a soul, and every soul has a destiny, an eternity! We want as many of our friends as possible, to experience the genuine, life-transforming love of Jesus. We are going all out to "reach the world of teens, and the world through teens." 

We invite you to join us in this Cause - to "rescue" as many lives as possible, so that the future and destiny of the young people in this nation is secured in Christ, and that their potential can be maximized, and life can be lived to the fullness of God's best! Join us as part of the 500, or join us as part of the labourer/leader force that will help reach out to more teens!
